What are the game elements? |
the playfield |
If you've played the predecessors of Teepop, this is nothing new. A Tetris-styled playfield with a "gravity" that forces all the blobs to the bottom of the field.
tees |
The cute little colored blobs that fill your playfield. If four or more tees of the same color are connected, they will disappear.
stones |
"punishment blocks" that rain down on you when an opponent has made a good move.
How do I play it? |
row |
When four or more tees of the same color end up adjacent to each other, they disappear. The playfield will then collapse to fill the gap. If a row has more than 7 tees, it will be a BIG! row which earns you extra points.
chain |
Once a row blows up, the playfield will collapse. If this results in more rows being created, they will also blow up. This is known as a chain. Creating long chains is the key to being a skilled Teepop player.
combo |
Sometimes you might end up creating two rows at the same time, and two rows explode simultaneously. This is a combo, and gives you a bunch of points.
outgoing stones |
At the end of a sequence, a number of stones are sent to you opponents' playfields. You can see the figure appear in the chat window.
incoming stones |
As mentioned above, stones are a "punishment" for not being as skilled as you opponents. When a player performs a BIG! row, a chain or a combo, this means you receive a number of stones in the following turn.
dodge |
You can counteract any number of incoming stones by pulling off a sequence of your own - this stops a number of stones from appearing in your playfield. This is also a vital part of good Teepop playing.
game over |
The game is over when the screen is filled with tees and stones, and you cannot drop another one. When all players except one has gone game over, that player wins the round.
